IP Address Gives Up Close Proximity
Northwest University researchers have been working on new techniques to find physical locations of an IP address within an estimated 750 yards of the broadcast site. Now that this technology is a very real possibility, the uses for it will be questionable.
This makes it particularly valuable to advertisers, who can now choose to target ads for the burger joint down the street or the record shop a block over.
