Intel snaps up network chipper Fulcrum

Low-power chores to which Xeons won't stoop

As good as Xeon chips might be for lots of things, Intel obviously believes that it needs some other silicon: the chip giant bought privately held networking ASIC maker Fulcrum Microsystems on Tuesday.?
